  • Collaborate with team members within organization-scoped workspaces
  • Access via API using OAuth 2.1 authentication for programmatic integration

Subscription Plans

Details of subscription plans, including features and pricing, are available on our website. We reserve the right to modify our subscription plans and pricing at any time, with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

Free Trials

We may offer free trials of our Service. At the end of the free trial period, your account will be automatically converted to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

5. Payment Terms

Billing

By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees for your chosen subscription plan. All fees are due in advance on a recurring basis according to your billing cycle. Billing is handled securely through Stripe, and we do not store your complete payment information on our servers.

Payment Methods

Automatic Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it before the renewal date. The renewal will be at the then-current rates.

Non-Payment

Taxes

Our fees do not include taxes. You are responsible for paying all applicable taxes, and we will charge tax when required by law. Tax calculations are handled automatically through our payment processor based on your billing address.

Database Connection Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that your database connections comply with your organization’s security policies. Query Lab only establishes read-only connections and does not modify your data, but you should verify that our service is authorized to access your databases according to your internal policies.

8. User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display through the Service (“User Content”), including:

  • Business definitions and documentation
  • SQL queries and query descriptions
  • Database connection configurations (stored encrypted)
  • Any other data or content you provide

By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This includes processing your business definitions through AI services to generate embeddings for search functionality.

Content Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to use the User Content
  • Your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights
  • Your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws

Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, without prior notice and at our sole discretion.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Query Lab and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.

Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service becomes our property, and we may use it without restriction or compensation to you.

  • Stripe - Payment processing and subscription billing
  • OpenAI - AI-powered text embeddings for business definition search
  • Railway - Cloud hosting and infrastructure
  • Mixpanel - Analytics and user behavior tracking

By using our Service, you acknowledge and agree that your information may be processed by these third-party services as necessary to provide our functionality. We carefully select these partners and ensure they meet our security standards, but your use of these integrated services is also subject to their respective terms and policies.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for such third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.

AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses AI to generate embeddings for search functionality. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results may not always be perfect or complete. You should verify any critical information independently.

No Professional Advice

The Service is not intended to provide professional advice. You should consult with appropriate professionals for specific advice tailored to your situation.

Beta Features

We may offer beta features that are still in development. Beta features are provided “as is” without any warranties and may be discontinued at any time.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUERY LAB AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
  • DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM

Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration conducted by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be held in the United States.

Class Action Waiver

YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION AGAINST QUERY LAB.

Exceptions

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to prevent or enjoin infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.

Export Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations, including U.S. export controls and economic sanctions.

All provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
